Phoebe came over to Shadow’s apartment to have English Tea and to talk about how Captain Cattitude did not come to Earth on the day he promised.
Shadow was feeling down as she and the government had to scrap their plans for his arrival. Shadow wonders if Captain Cattitude will ever come to Earth.
In the middle of their chatting and enjoying the tea, Shadow’s interactive satellite dish began to beep and project strange images onto Shadow’s bedroom wall. “What is that?” said a startled Phoebe, who in that moment dropped her cup of tea to the ground which shattered to sharp pieces. “I don’t know,” said Shadow. Both girls jumped up and quickly walked to the wall where the images were being projected. “I’m scared,” said a visibly shaken Phoebe. Shadow maintained her cool. “It must be some message from Captain Cattitude,” said Shadow. “What it is, I don’t know.” “I’ll have to call the government. I’m afraid,” said Shadow, also visibly shaken by the turn of events. Shadow began to walk quickly to the kitchen to get her cell phone. “Hello, Mr. President. It’s Shadow. Something just happened here. You better come and bring some linguistics…

Shadow received a new transmission from Captain Cattidude through her interactive satellite dish. He explained that he was forced to undergo DNAplasto surgery for his arrival to Earth. His rulers thought he looked less threatening under this new guise. He didn’t want Shadow to be shocked by his new appearance, so he sent the following photograph. Shadow thought to herself, “He’s even more dreamy.” Shadow’s caregiver reminded Shadow that looks can be deceiving…She interrupted her caregiver by saying, “He looks just like cats on Earth. What’s not to like?” ©

oday, the stress of planning for the Cat- extravaganza Dance Party hit Shadow hard. She sought some tender loving care from her caregiver. Shadow realizes she has to grow up fast if she is to pull off the event. AND that makes her sad. “After all,” she thought, I’m only a kitten.”

Phoebe called Shadow tonight. Phoebe had forgiven shadow for having to tell her the news that President Trump personally banned her from the party as she dressed like a harlot. Phoebe also successfully finished painting her family room. She was high from the fumes, and that is why she made the call. She was talking very fast…

She giggly told Shadow she knew how she could sneak into the party. “I’ll wear a kitten costume. I promise to be on my best behavior and avoid Mae West-like behavior,” said Phoebe. Shadow said, “What an excellent idea.” See Phoebe we are BFFs forever,” Shadow said through happy tears. “I really think it will work, Phoebe.” “Goodnight, my best friend,” Shadow lovingly said. “Goodnight,” Phoebe replied. ©

Shadow lay comatose on the floor. She began to hallucinate about the future once Captain Cattitude visits Earth. She was still in shock that someone tried to enter into her bedroom window last night with intent to hurt her. “Please, oh please let Captain Cattitude be friendly and mean no harm to Earth’s inhabitants,” she thought as she drifted off to sleep. ©

Shadow opened the door with trepidation. She knew who was behind that knock. She was right. CIA Agent Bouldelaire stood there with a solemn face. He informed Shadow that they caught a suspect trying to get into her bedroom window last night. He told her she was not safe. He insisted that she be moved to a safe house until things calmed down. “I will not let fear rule my life,” Shadow said. “I refuse to go.” Agent Bouldelaire was taken aback, “It’s for your own safety,” he growled. However, by the look on Shadow’s face, who knew, she would not go. “Alright,” he said. “I can’t guarantee your safety if you don’t go with us… But I understand.” He ended by saying,”We will continue to keep watch over you.” Shadow thanked him then immediately ran to her litter box. He scared the poop out of her. ©

Shadow’s caregiver begged Shadow to cancel the Dance Party for Captain Cattitude after he heard Shadow has received death threats. “Never,” Shadow screamed. “I won’t let fear dictate my life.” At that moment, CIA Agent Bouldelaire knocked on their door…©

Shadow came home to a surprise. Outside her apartment was CIA Agent Baudelaire. He looked very serious and had urgent news to tell her. He informed her that death threats towards her have increased over the last several days and that for now on, he and his agents will be stationed outside her apartment to protect her from any threat. Apparently, there is a growing faction of Americans who don’t want Captain Cattitude to visit Earth and blame her for his imminent visit. Shadow thanked Agent Baudelaire and immediately locked herself in her bedroom and hid under the bed. “What else can go wrong,” she worried about as she lay in a fetal position©

Phoebe lost her cool when Shadow told her she was being banned from the Cat-extravaganza Dance Party. She watched in disbelief as Phoebe began to lay tarps down and pull out paint cans all the while saying in-between alligator tears rolling down her face, “How could you do this to me? BFF’s forever you said…”. Shadow tried to tell Phoebe that it wasn’t her call. But Phoebe just continued to lay down tarps. She promised Phoebe she would get her into the welcoming party for Captain Cattatude’s visit to Earth.

And if things couldn’t get any stranger, the shocker came. While Phoebe was crying, her caregiver offered her a treat. Phoebe seemed to forget all about the party and quickly ate her treat. Shadow looked on in shock. “Well, she always has been a foodie,” Shadow thought. At that moment Shadow vowed Phoebe would be at the party no matter what it took. “BFF’s forever Phoebe, BFF’s,” shadow thought as she left Phoebe’s house so Phoebe could get to painting to relieve her stress surrounding the news she heard. ©

Today, Shadow plans on telling Phoebe the truth that her Invite to the Cat- Estranzaganza has been revoked by the government. (Via an email, Agent Baudelaire reminded Shadow that Phoebe is not welcomed.) She doesn’t anticipate it to go down well when she tells Phoebe the truth. She only hopes that Phoebe has not had any iced teas as she wants to avoid a scene. Best to tell her at her place, Shadow thought aloud. ©
