The ride to the ocean took about an hour due to traffic; however, Shadow chatted non-stop about her so-called hidden powers. As usual, she was chattering fast and most of what she was saying became garbled.

“Tellmehowmypowerscanactivate. I really want to know. Will I be a superhero now? WhatpowerswilIhave? Will I be abletofly? Can I see through buildings? said Shadow.

“Shadow you must be patient. The powers you have in you are not to be treated as a toy. You should treat these powers with respect and only use them for good,” said Captain Cattitude feeling overwhelmed by all of Shadow’s quick-fire questions.

Aren’t we here to enjoy the ocean and for us to get to know more about Captain Cattitude and more about his species world view?’ said Thom.

I guess you’re right. I’ll be more patient and wait for when Captain Cattitude is ready to teach me. But, boy oh boy is it going to be hard”, said Shadow.

They arrived at the ocean and spent all day admiring the ocean and all its beauty. Shadow and Captain Cattitude ran around chasing each other and laughing the entire time. I was worried that Captain Cattitude might draw attention to others that he was a special cat. His meow sounds different, like alien-sounding. They finally stopped playing and just sat next to the water’s edge looking over back at me. It was a cute scene that needed to be captured…
