He arrives today. Shadow decided to get up and go take a shower.\u00a0 While in the Shower, Shadow caught herself singing &#8220;Staying Alive,&#8221;\u00a0 by the Bee Gees. It&#8217;s been a rough December, she thought. AFTER ALL, I NEARLY DIED OF COVID, she heard her head scream at her.\u00a0 Enough, I&#8217;m alive and I get to meet my younger brother, she said back to her head.\u00a0 Shadow went back to her singing.\u00a0 It&#8217;s going to be a good day, she thought as she turned off the water and grabbed the towel hanging on the shower rod, and started drying herself off.<br>&#8220;Shadow, Hurry up and get dressed, your brother will be here soon,&#8221; said Thom through the bathroom door.\u00a0 &#8220;I am ready,&#8221; said Shadow as she opened the bathroom door and stepped out into the hallway dressed in her special occasion clothes.\u00a0 &#8220;You look great,&#8221; said Thom.\u00a0 &#8220;Thank you,&#8221; said Shadow.\u00a0&#8221; He should be shortly,&#8221; said Thom. At that moment there was a knock at the front door.\u00a0 He&#8217;s here,&#8221; said Shadow as she took a big gulp of air.\u00a0 &#8220;Shall we go greet him,&#8221; said Thom as he began to walk in the direction of the knocking.\u00a0 Shadow began to follow Thom. Thom reached the front door first, so he opened the door.\u00a0 Standing on the front porch was a kitten, probably around six months old.\u00a0 He was alone.\u00a0 He looked fragile and rather thin.\u00a0 His grey and black tiger-striped fur looked dirty.\u00a0 In a small timid voice, &#8220;Hi I&#8217;m Rocky, Shadow&#8217;s little brother,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Welcome Rocky. Please come in,&#8221; said Thom making a\u00a0 hand gesture to step inside the house. Shadow froze upon seeing Rocky. She was upset to see how haggard he looked. &#8220;Rocky, this is your sister,&#8221; Shadow.\u00a0 Rocky ran toward Shadow,\u00a0 tears of joy cascading down his face.\u00a0 When he reached Shadow, he gave her a big hug.\u00a0 &#8220;Sister it&#8217;s so nice to finally meet you.
