Phoebe got to breakfast late as she slept in.\u00a0 She came to the dining room table in her jammies.\u00a0 Shadow just rolled her eyes.\u00a0 \u201cWell, Shadow today is your big day,\u201d said Suzie.\u00a0 \u201cAre you excited?\u201d she asked.\u00a0 \u201cYes, mam, very excited, beyond excited.\u00a0 Today I become a cool kitty with superpowers,\u201d Shadow quickly rattled off her words, her voice in a higher pitch than normal.\u00a0 \u201cWell, then, this is going to be a big day then, \u201creplied Suzie. Captain Cattitude finally finished his meal.\u00a0 \u201cCome Shadow.\u00a0 Let\u2019s begin your training,\u201d said Captain Cattitude as he stood up and begin to walk toward his room.\u00a0 Shadow jumped out of her seat so fast she almost tripped over herself as she rushed to follow Captain Cattitude to his room.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">\u201cCome, sit here,\u201d he pointed to a chair facing him.&nbsp; \u201cThe first power I am going to teach you is how to levitate on-demand,\u201d&nbsp; \u201cStand up now,\u201d he said to Shadow.&nbsp; Shadow jumped to her feet unable to control her excitement. \u201cNow, sit and place your left paw on your head and repeat Mafdet over and over until you start to levitate.&nbsp; It\u2019s the same thing you did to come down the other night, except focus on going up,\u201d said Captain Cattitude.&nbsp; Shadow sat and repeated Mafdet over and over, but nothing was happening.&nbsp; \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong? Why am I not levitating?\u201d said a frustrated Shadow.&nbsp; \u201cThis is not an easy power to learn.&nbsp; You must have it come from your heart and mind \u2013 they must be one.&nbsp; Now try again but feel it in your heart and mind,\u201d said Captain Cattitude. Shadow tried again.&nbsp; Still, she did not levitate.&nbsp; \u201cAgain, try again,\u201d said Captain Cattitude.&nbsp; Shadow tried again, and again, hours passed, and she still could not levitate.&nbsp; \u201cOnce more, again,\u201d said Captain Cattitude.&nbsp; Shadow placed her left paw on her head and begin reciting Mafdet over and over but saying it from your heart and mind.&nbsp; She began to slowly start to levitate and took on a green eerie glow.&nbsp; \u201cThat\u2019s it continue until you almost touch the ceiling,\u201d said Captain Cattitude Up, up she went.&nbsp; She felt a bit light-headed from the energy she was exerting.&nbsp; Captain Cattitude had a wide smile on his face.&nbsp; Shadow had learned her first superpower.&nbsp; \u201cNow, bring yourself down by focusing on your heart that you want to come down,\u201d he said.
